En avril 2019, la Banque centrale du Chili a signalé que l'endettement des ménages dépassait le historique de 70 % et s'est dit préoccupée par la hausse de la « monnaie plastique ». L'industrie de la vente au détail au Chili n'est pas seulement le secteur de l'économie avec les débiteurs le plus en souffrance, c'est aussi l'un de ceux avec la plus forte concentration de réclamations pour violations d'informations. En octobre 2019, la dette s'élevait à 74% et la bulle éclatat, donnant lieu à de nombreuses manifestations dans les rues qui ont mené à la révision de la constitution du pays. Cette crise est la plus impportante que le Chili ait connue depuis le rétablissement de la démocratie il y maintenant plus de 30 ans.
Après les violations des droits de l'homme avec la dictature, le peuple chilien n'est plus le même et aujourd'hui, se trouve dans un scénario polarisé entre deux visions opposées de la société représentées par le leader étudiant de 35 ans Gabriel Boric et l'ex-député d'extrême droite de 55 ans Jose Antonio Kast. La nouvelle presidence qui prendra ses fonctions en mars 2022 sera responsable de créer le chemin vers la nouvelle constitution.

Gandenwitha refused to give up his fire, and the Ice Giants began with ice storms. Suddenly, the indigenous people of the North realized that the ice crystals were radiating light, and together with fire, the world was illuminated from darkness.
The story of Gandenwhitha and the Ice Giants is part of the oral tradition of Indigenous communities in North America in their relationship with weather, ice storms, and ice, something dangerous and destructive that is beautiful and vital.
